I’m Carlos Gil – A Controls Engineer… and an astrophotographer

I come from Northwest Spain but moved to UK in 2014

I still remember the emotions back in the 90s when I was able to dicern Saturn rings. I barely did so as I was using a cheap 20×50 spyglass. But I still remember the feeling.

A few years later I took my first astrophotos. Well… I used same expired film I got from a friend: 3200 sensitiviy in a reflex camera. I wish I had kept it… 🙁

In 2020 the Neowise comet visited us. Tried some shots and, as they say, the rest is history.
